I did my usual interwebs research and checked out all the free mmorpg's I could find.
I gotta say in the realm of free mmorpg's there is a lot of shitty games. I'll save you the trouble of being disappointed or insanely enraged (like me) and just show you the best of what I found.
Here they are in no particular order, you tell me which one is the best free mmorpg.

did you actually play these games???? im also looking for the best mmorpg to tryout, but seeing that you didn't write anything about them, any kind of reason why you think this would be one of the best rpg which makes me think you just got a nice sum for listing these names. i didn't know what kingdom of loathing was until i saw the vid in this site, but after seeing it.... really??? kingdom of loathing?!?! are you kidding me?????

I mean there are alot more out there that are better than these in my opinion, like, say, Dragonica, Rappelz, Anarchy Online, and a few others too that I just can't take the time to think of because of my stupid headache medication... anyways, you get the idea. All of these except Cabal suck, in my very insignificant opinion.
Well, Atlantica is actually very fun to play, but it lacks in things like character customization and the like. But it has a compelling in-game market and the economy is very well balanced. Overall it's an entertaining game, just needs a bit more to be up there with big names like WoW, WAR, EVE, and w/e else many people play. But as somebody who has played everything on this list... they suck, but I am somebody who really needs their graphics, and thats where most of these lack. The two I mentioned are only better because they have more enticing features that overpower their lack of graphical aesthetics and pleasures. So, anyway, 8/10 suck. 2/10 suck less. In general, they all suck. Look elsewhere for the best, its all about preference.

Runes of Magic and Cabal are the only two decent looking trailers. haven't played either
2 moons is awesome, i play it all the time, fact right now im selling stuff in a shop on my hunter
